The official version SEAMCAT v.5.5.1 is released on 8th October 2025.
The latest version marks a significant milestone in the evolution of CEPT's spectrum engineering tool, unleashing a plethora of enhancements and 32 new features aimed at improving your spectrum interference studies. - Location-Time Simulation Framework: Locking distribution values after the first event, fixing interference link positions, replaying events, and GUI indicators.
- Fixed Geographical Coordinates for ISL: New option for correlated mode in scenario configuration.
- Simulation Time Optimization: Skipping inactive links based on Tx Power or activity factor.
- BEL ITU-R P.2109 Integration: Fixing after first event in location/time-dependent simulations.
- Activity Factor Fixes: Correct handling of transmitters at event 0.
- New PMP Models: Full implementation of ITU-R P.452-18 and P.368-10 with GUI, transmission loss methods, and unit tests.
- Clutter Height Profile Integration: Using DSM + DTM and DTM + DLU data for ITU-R P.452-18 calculations.
- Digital Land Use Data: Corine Land Cover reader with clutter height extraction and ITU mapping.
- GeoTIFF Terrain Reader: Support for finer resolution (10, 20, 50 m) and TIFFs without reference coordinates.
- DTM - SRTM *.hgt Reader: Inclusion of hgt terrain profiles in simulations.
- Tool for Propagation Model Testing: Set geo-coordinates for Tx/Rx and visualize terrain path profile.
- Adding ITU-R P.2108 clutter loss model calculation to indoor local environment
- Advanced UE Positioning Distributions: Lognormal, Rayleigh (distance), and Normal (azimuth) for IMT-2020 and OFDMA (DL & UL).
- Enhanced Cellular Results: SINR, Bitrate vectors, reference cell data, and reorganized result tabs.
- Estimate Coupling Loss Percentile (CLP) Fixes: For IMT-2020 and OFDMA uplink systems.
- Implementation of Fractional Degradation in performance calculation from ECC Report 367 as an eEPP
- Multiple PMP Management: Export/import PMP configurations to/from the library.
- Command Line XPath Support: Query result files, extract values, and apply logical operators.
- Batch Tool Enhancements: Save-as functionality and improved result exports.
- Simplified Download Process: Licensing terms accepted on first run.
- GUI Enhancements: Visual indicators for locked distributions, antenna plot improvements, and tooltips.
